The way that I love you is a declination of SPORT, performance that Salvo Lombardo recreates in this case in a reduced version for two performers.
With SPORT Lombardo identifies in the state of “fall” a specific existential dimension and equally a pretext to rehang the ideals of competitiveness and performance, normally based on principles of exclusion and conformity to precise anatomical, social, behavioural, and cultural norms. SPORT is a renewed opportunity to discuss the canons and imaginaries applied to substance in Occident, between the desperate attempt to resist the fall, and the inevitable, necessary, at times “loving” acceptance of the decline, of the capitulation or perhaps of the overturning: of a condition, of a system of narratives, of a world».

Salvo Lombardo is a performer, choreographer, multimedia artist and curator of performance projects. Since 2016 he has been the artistic director of Chiasma. His works are hosted in festivals, theatres, museums and independent spaces in Italy and abroad. From 2019 to 2021 he was co-curator of Resurface Festival (Rome). Since 2021 he has been artistic director of Interazioni – Festival (Rome). He was among the founders of Ostudio (Rome). He is currently an associated artist of MilanOltre Festival and Lavanderia a Vapore, Collegno (TO).
