Three different, parallel journeys towards the sea. The powerful metaphor of the whale in an immersive condition and in three fundamental movements:

– opening lines of Melville’s Moby Dick
– monologue from Moby Dick – Rehearsals for a Two-Act Play – Orson Welles
– Jonah – the sounds of the whale

Bio Compagnia

Roberto Latini is an actor, author and director. He trained in Rome at Il Mulino di Fiora, directed by Perla Peragallo, where he graduated in 1992. He is the founder of Fortebraccio Teatro. He directed the Teatro San Martino in Bologna from 2007 to spring 2012.
Alongside his intense and highly personal theatrical research, ranging from the possibilities of amplification to experiments in stage writing, he has worked over the years with Mario Martone, Aleksandar Popovskj, Federico Tiezzi, Sandro Lombardi, Antonio Latella, Andrea De Rosa, Luca Micheletti and Roberto Andò, among others. He received the 2011 Sipario Award, the 2014 Ubu Award, the 2015 Critics’ Award, the 2017 Ubu Award and the 2019 Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano Award.

Gianluca Misiti Musician and composer (Rome, 1970), he began working in the mid-1990s in the field of Italian pop music, playing and recording as a keyboardist for numerous artists, including Max Gazzè, Paola Turci, Marina Rei, but above all Daniele Silvestri, with whom he has performed in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad and with whom he still collaborates today, both in the studio and live. Since 1994, he has been composing incidental music for Roberto Latini’s shows, with whom he founded the “Fortebraccio Teatro” theatre company. In 2015, he won the Telesio D’Argento special prize at the “La Primavera del Cinema Italiano” festival for the soundtrack of Edoardo Leo’s film “Noi e la Giulia”. In 2015, he won the UBU AWARD for “Best Sound Project or Original Music” for the show “I Giganti della Montagna” directed by R. Latini. In 2017, he won the UBU AWARD for “Best Sound Project or Original Music” for the show “Cantico dei Cantici” directed by R. Latini.
