TALK I MEETING | PERFORMANCE PRACTICES
An in-depth talk on the possible relationships/expansions between dance/performative practices and natural urban landscapes, starting from the experience of the training lab “Farsi Corpo”.
Farsi Corpo is a wide-ranging workshop programme exploring the interaction between dance and natural urban landscapes, launched in Rome in 2022 and created through a collaboration between dancer/choreographer Carlo Massari/C&C Company and Margine Operativo. Each stage of this journey has been independent and has taken place within artistic projects curated by Margine Operativo, interacting with green spaces/public parks in the city of Rome.
Farsi Corpo is a workshop focused on exploring the body as the main tool for expression and storytelling. Through body language, participants are invited to rediscover their physicality, investigating the relationship between body, space and relationships with others. It is proposed as a path of bodily and spatial reappropriation, where art becomes a tool for reconnection, resistance and transformation.
The third stage of this training course took place as part of Attraversamenti Multipli 2023 and the fourth stage took place in May 2024 as part of the R.E.T.E. project – Reuse, ecology, technology, empowerment in the sustainable management of entertainment events, created with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture and funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU, promoted by the ECORITMI network // formed by Fondazione Roma Tre Palladium, Eticae and Margine Operativo //

The company, founded in 2011 and still under the direction of Carlo Massari – creator, choreographer and transdisciplinary performer active on the contemporary Italian and international scene – has shown a vocation for hybridisation between dance and physical theatre with other artistic codes, and therefore with spoken and sung word, music and contemporary and performative art, since its inception.
