SITE SPECIFIC | DANCE
An assembly on a meadow, designed to build understanding between bodies starting from the use of words without an object: the chatter as a means of a physiological and momentary alliance in the grass. Sitting. The piece is composed of packets of pre-recorded conversations, excerpts of concepts faithfully transcribed and reorganized. A suburban Kecac without a community, dramatic and private like the disappearance of your playlist.
We refer to a chaotic mix, not conditioned by language or bodily matter, but by the intentions of the bodies: it is as if boundaries between things and therefore the boundaries between bodies are no longer established by their essence but by environmental intentions. A body is something that maintains its structure only for a while and always in relation to an event and then moves on to something else. Displace.

MK has been involved in choreography and performance since 2000 and revolves around an original core of performers and shared, cross-disciplinary projects.
Recent productions include: Bermudas, UBU 2019 award for best dance performance for the durational and participatory version Bermudas_forever; Parete Nord; Pezzi anatomici which conceptually proposes the opening of the work in the rehearsal room, the performance Eden for a single spectator; Maqam, a choreographed concert; Sfera and the choreographic environment project Piscina Mirabilis; Atmosferologia, redesign and remounting of the urban performance Veduta.
The new production Panoramic Banana. Album of the inhabitants of the new world debuted at the Milan Triennale in October 2024.
Michele Di Stefano (Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale) has received choreographic commissions from Aterballetto, Korean National Contemporary Dance Company, Nuovo Balletto di Toscana and Ballet de Lorraine. He was an associate artist at the Milan Triennale for the three-year period 2022-24. Since September 2024, he has been co-artistic director of the Short Theatre festival
