Peripatetiche dell’ascolto is a journey that combines walking, microphone recording, and headphone listening into a single experience of exploring and discovering the sonic environment. The use of ear prosthetics, microphones, and headphones allows explorers to revitalize a mediated and conscious listening experience; microphone recording enables the crossing of the threshold of the audible and navigating the boundaries between proximity and distance to a sound event; headphone listening allows the creation of a shared acoustic environment and a common area of intervention, a place for action and collective listening.

The project was presented at the SuperPark! Festival (Adamello Brenta Natural Park, 2022); at the Ground Music Festival (Monticelli Brusati Waterfalls, Franciacorta, 2023); at the Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano (Pietraporciana Nature Reserve, 2023); at the 10th edition of Jazz all’Aquila (City Park, 2024); at the Danae Festival (North Park of Milan, 2024), Mittelfest (Cividale – Udine, 2025), and Delle Acque-Zeit (Montimannu Nature Reserve – Villacidro, Udine, 2025).
Bio Artista
Fabrizio Saiu is a teacher, percussionist and performer. He focuses his research on organized actions that blend together practices of bodily movement such as art du déplacement and free running, with procedures for sound production and active sound listening, and interaction with the environment through the use of analog and electronic technologies. Graduated in electronic music from the Luca Marenzio Conservatory of Brescia, he has been teaching Sound Space Design and Performance Techniques in the New Technologies of Art and Scenography courses at the Accademia di Belle Arti Santa Giulia of Brescia and at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Reggio Calabria.
