Presentation
FARSI CORPO workshop is the second movement of a journey that began in the metropolis of Rome in December 2022 as part of the “Corpo_Città” project curated by Margine Operativo and continues in the Attraversamenti Multipli 2023 festival through a format that includes a free five-day workshop and a collective performance presented on 30 June
“After a period of forced immobility, we try to re-appropriate natural urban spaces and human relations, to reconnect with our bodies and those of others. We believe it is really useful to propose a meeting offer for those who wish to approach our creative and performative methodology. We therefore offer a workshop representative of the Compagnia C&C’s research led by Carlo Massari, which will make use of concrete physical practices to explore the dramaturgical elements of dance and performance languages. The work will focus on the search for “original” movement and its relationship with the voice (in all its meanings) to find the communicative essence of movement.” Carlo Massari
The Company
C&C identifies itself as a project for the creation and development of an artistic language directed towards a physical and dramaturgical investigation, closely related to contemporary social issues. Characterised by a work without superstructures, C&C is interested in the depth of interpersonal relationships, with the aim of bringing truth to the stage through a deeply physical language that allows the audience to feel represented within its universality.
The Company, founded in 2011, denotes from the outset a vocation for the hybridisation of dance and physical theatre with other performance languages.
Recurrent are the creations that envisage the involvement of the communities with which the Company comes into contact, establishing a dialogue with the community capable of enhancing the artistic project: a search for relational truth that characterises the poetics and is combined with a total imaginative openness capable of bringing the public closer to the theatrical experience.
