25 febbraio 1991, Albania. Il regime comunista che per più di 45 anni aveva controllato e limitato la libertà dei cittadini albanesi è ormai collassato. Migliaia di persone cercano di scappare verso l’Occidente partendo dai porti di Valona e Durazzo con navi, pescherecci e gommoni diretti verso l’Italia.
In uno di quei pescherecci c’è anche Aleksandros Memetaj, che sta per affrontare il viaggio più difficile della sua vita.
“Albania casa mia” è un testo divertente e commovente di un giovane attore e autore di 24 anni. È la storia di un figlio che crescerà lontano dalla sua terra natia, in Veneto e anche la storia di un padre, dei sacrifici fatti, dei pericoli corsi per evitare di crescere suo figlio nella miseria di uno Stato che non esiste più. E’ anche la storia del suo grande amore nei confronti della propria terra, di grande patriottismo, di elevazione di alcuni valori che in Italia non esistono più.
February 25, 1991 , Albania. The communist regime – that for more than 45 years has controlled and limited the freedom of Albanian citizens – is now collapsed . Thousands of people try to escape to the West by the ports of Vlora and Durres with ships , fishing boats and rafts directed towards Italy . In one of those fishing boats there is also Aleksandros Memetaj. This is the most difficult day of his life .”Albania casa mia” is a funny and moving text written by a young actor and author. It’s a story of a son who will grow away from his native country in the Veneto region. It’s also the story of a father , of the sacrifices made , the dangers to avoid raising her child in the misery of a country that no longer exists . It ‘s also the story of his great love for their own country, a story of patriotism, elevation of values that in Italy no longer exist .
ALEKSANDROS MEMETAJ nasce il 19-6-1991 a Valona (Albania). A soli 6 mesi viene portato in Italia, in provincia di Venezia. Dal 2011 al 2014 frequenta l’Accademia di recitazione “Fondamenta”. In questo periodo cresce anche il suo interesse per la scrittura. Non appena esce dall’Accademia sono due gli incontri che gli permettono lo slancio nel mondo dello spettacolo: l’ingresso nella compagnia Nogu Teatro di Roma, dove lavora ormai da quasi un anno, sotto la direzione di Cristiano Vaccaro e il sodalizio con Giampiero Rappa, conosciuto durante l’ultimo anno di accademia, con il quale cura il progetto “Albania casa mia”, come autore ed attore, affidandogli la regia.

Da sempre Argot è una struttura di produzione teatrale che si occupa prevalentemente di drammaturgia contemporanea, dedicando un rilievo specifico agli autori italiani e a progetti che operano sull’integrazione dei linguaggi, al fine di contribuire al rinnovamento della scena teatrale: perché occuparsi del contemporaneo, di un teatro del tempo presente, significa conoscere in profondità il nostro essere uomini di questo tempo, capirne i conflitti, riflettere sulle tensioni espresse sulla società, porsi domande. Oggi Argot Produzioni torna ad affiancarsi al suo percorso originale, votato alla promozione dei più interessanti autori nazionali e ai nuovi linguaggi.
ALEKSANDROS MEMETAJ was born on 19/06/1991 in Vlora (Albania ) . Just six months is carried in Italy, in the province of Venice . From 2011 to 2014 he attended the Acting Academy “Fondamenta” . In this period he grows his interest in writing . As he exits from the Academy he are two important meetings: the Nogu company Teatro in Rome – where he worked for almost a year , under the direction of Cristiano Vaccaro – and the association with Giampiero Rappa, “Albania casa mia” ‘s director.
ARGOT is a theatrical production structure that works mainly with contemporary drama, giving attention to Italians authors and projects working on the integration of languages, in order to contribute to the renewal of theater scene : deal with the contemporary, with a theater of present time , is to know in depth of our being men of this time, understand the conflicts, reflect on the tensions expressed by society, ask questions . Today Argot Productions returns in its original path , devoted to the promotion of the most interesting national authors and new languages.
